Girls Golf’s Season Finishes at Makray Memorial

The varsity girls golf team wrapped up their season at the IHSA Sectional (Barrington) at Makray Memorial Golf Club on Monday afternoon. The Scouts, who posted a team score of 369, placed 8th out of the 12 team field. Individually, the Scouts were placed by Isabella Martino’s 85, 11 strokes better than her performance at Bittersweet Golf Club in the IHSA Regional. Barrington, St. Charles North, and Lincolnshire were the three advancing teams in the field.

The individual score needed to advance onto the IHSA State Finals was 79, so unfortunately no Scouts will be moving on to the state meet that will be hosted this weekend at Hickory Point Golf Club in Decatur, Illinois.

The Scouts finished the season 5th overall in the 8-team NSC. Erin Shalala finsihed 5th overall as an individual in conference while Isabel Martino finished 10th.
