Scouts set to take on one of the state’s leading scorers in Exam Jamm

Scouts+set+to+take+on+high-powered+Nazareth+team+in+Lake+Zurich+Shootout

Tonight, the girls basketball team takes on the Nazareth Roadrunners today in the Exam Jamm, hosted by Lake Zurich High School. The Scouts are coming off a huge win against a reputable North Suburban Conference foe, the Warren Blue Devils. Sophomore Halle Douglass was able to keep Wake Forest University-commit Kaylen Dickson in check and the Scouts played stellar all around defense to hold the Blue Devils to 31 points and only 15 in the first half.

Tonight will present one of, if not the most, challenging matchup the Scouts will have all season. According to MaxPreps.com, the Roadrunners from Nazareth are the number five ranked team in the state and boast the state’s leading scorer in Annie Stritzel. The six-foot junior averaged 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists last year in 12 games of action. She has already received over 30 scholarship offers and roster spot offerings, showing just how talented of a player she really is. Look for a high scoring battle between Lake Forest’s own Halle Douglass and Annie Stritzel tonight in this non-conference matchup. The game tips at seven so make sure to make the trip to cheer on the Scouts!!
