Scouts track and field season comes to unfortunate end

Girls+track+has+strong+showing+in+first+outdoor+meet+of+the+season

The Lake Forest boys track and field season came to an end yesterday at Loyola Academy in the Sectional competition. Unfortunately, there were no state qualifiers this year, as both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 were disqualified. This year, the Scouts had an array of talent of across the board, but were unable to push anyone through to the state meet annually held in Charleston, which proves how tough the competition was yesterday at the Sectional.

Sophomore superstar Nate Schmidt was one second away from qualifying for state in the two mile, and Tyler Trachsel also placed 4th in the 100 meter dash. This year was a good one for the Scouts, as juniors Tyler Trachsel, Tyjuan Scott, and sophomore Nate Schmidt continue to progress. Next year should be a great year for the Scouts and hopefully they will be bound for a state run.
