The Lake Forest High School varsity dance team will take their award-winning show on the road tonight as they will compete in the NSC Championships hosted by Waukegan High School. Having performed at UIC last Saturday, today marks the team’s first high-stakes performance in competition season.
After they test their mettle against the conference’s best opponents–including Lake Zurich and Stevenson–the pommers will participate in Sectionals on Saturday, January 20 in hopes of qualifying for the IHSA State Meet.
Seniors Meredith Delaney, Nell Dasso, Kailey Hetler, Caroline Martino, and Erin Nolan look to lead the Scouts to their first ever IHSA-sanctioned State Championship. The Scouts finished 2nd in 2013 and 3rd in 2017. This season is the first for varsity head coach Alexis Laurine after taking over for Nikki Lazzaretto after last season.
