The transition from summer to fall regarding fashion can be stressful. It seems like there is a new trend or new must-have clothes to catch up with every week. This aforementioned transition can become a lot easier if you just focus on a few new trends for the season. It’s also a lot easier on the bank account if you buy four or five trendy staples that you can wear multiple times throughout the season’s duration instead of something new every other week.
Below, I have highlighted a few of the more obtainable–while still fashionable, of course–trends for high schoolers. Still, the most important part in all of these trends is remaining true to your personal style. The most fashionable people are the ones who are able to take today’s trends and make them their own by putting their own spin on it.
The Future is Now:
This first trend is one of the most prominent this season. You can find this chic metallic silver colors anywhere from the red carpet to the awesome Rag & Bone sneakers featured below. You can integrate this into your closet in other ways as well, including: sneaks, boots, a fun skirt, a cool metallic bomber, or a fun t shirt. These looks can give any basic outfit a fun pop or spice up an outfit for going out. You can find all of these styles at revolve.com
Red and Ready:
This second trend is one of the most fun for this fall: all red everything! Red is such a hot color this fall and is very easy to bring into your fall wardrobe. For an fun fall outfit you can add a pop of red or go monochrome like in these runway looks. If you don’t already have some sort of red in their closet, you can find these looks at revolve.com and the jacket at Zara (in-store and online).
Cross Word:
This style for 2017 is more familiar, but is still one of my personal favorites. Graphic tees are an old favorite but something a little new this season are the graphic sweaters and different types of tops. These tops can make an easy t-shirt and jeans look or juxtapose with a nice skirt or pants for a night out. These shirts can found at Gucci in store and online and revolve.com. You can find the featured sweater (they have brunette and ginger, too) in store and online at Zara.
The Right Puff:
This next trend is one of the more fun trends for the fall. Fuzzy faux fur jackets, plus leather and jean jackets with furry accents are all over this season. They are also a fun way to to keep warm as soon as our Chicago fall weather starts to cool down. These jackets can be paired with a plain white t-shirt or a graphic tee. These styles can be found at revolve.com and Zara, in store and online.
Ski Patrol:
This last, but definitely not least, trend for this fall is oversized cozy ski sweaters. These sweaters are another way to beat the Chicago cold as we make our way into winter. And even though sweaters are a staple every year for fall, a major trend this year is the fun pattern on the sweater. These fun, chunky sweaters can be worn with jeans and boots or with a leather skirt for a more fun look. These specific sweaters can be found at revolve.com or at Zara in stores or online.
