The Scouts (8-3) played two big games in the past four days, facing off against North Chicago (0-9) on Friday night and Evanston (5-11) on Monday. Coming off a tough loss against Libertyville, the boys were out for blood and showed no mercy in these matches.
The boys managed to put away the Warhawks 25-15 in straight sets, winning by a landslide. Junior Eric Mzyk stepped up and had 5 big kills that contributed to the victory. Just last night, the Scouts faced the Evanston Wildkits on the their home court in another non-conference game. After two games of crisp passing and hard slams, the Scouts won (25-16, 25-19) and have now improved to 10-3. They were led by Justin McCartney with 23 assists and Kevin Lamp who added 10 kills.
Come watch the Scouts take on the Lake Zurich Bears tomorrow night (4/25) in the competition gym.
