LAKE FOREST, Ill.– After their second place finish at the Lake County Tournament, the Boys Volleyball team (7-2) had yet another game on Tuesday night, this time against their crosstown rival, the Caxys of Lake Forest Academy (3-5). With the “Lake Forest Crown” on the line, the boys were prepared and fired up for this classic hosted by LFA.
One big storyline was the return of Will Gescheidle, who started his first game after being out with an injury to start the season. Senior hitter Kyle Waggoner held high praise for Gescheidle, labeling him as “one of the best passers on the team.” The Scouts won the game in straight sets and maintained their high level of play against the Caxys. Ethan Talbot stepped up as well, with multiple kills during the contest.
Come watch the boys face off against the Libertyville Wildcats on Wednesday night at LHS as they look to continue their hot-streak in a NSC classic.
