LAKE FOREST, Ill.– In their first game in a week, the Scouts (2-1) searched for their first conference win as they faced the Warren Blue Devils (7-6) in the Competition Gym. Led by Alex Jian and Kyle Wells, the Blue Devils are not a team to approach lightly. Also, since each school plays each other only once in North Suburban Conference play, every game is a must win.
Starting off strongly, the boys managed to win the first game 25-20, with strong play from senior Jake Danneker who finished with 11 digs. From there, the Scouts and Blue Devils battled in a hard-fought second game that they couldn’t managed to squeeze out and eventually lost 25-22. All tied up, the Scouts showed no mercy in the third game, winning comfortably 25-13. Junior Kevin Lamp finished with a team-high 18 kills, while Joe Chamberlain added 6.
Cheer on the boys volleyball team as it faces Lakes High School in tournament play at Grant High School on April 13.
