Raunak Wadhera and Sam Morris
They first crossed paths cheering for the Scouts in the bleachers at homecoming during their sophomore year- a memory that can now be looked back on and resemble where it all started.
“At the time, I didn’t have a homecoming date,” Morris explained, “and then one night I got a text from a friend asking if I would go with Raunak, and I was like, Yeah!”

After homecoming, they continued hanging out and developing hobbies of their own. “We got along well and then it just kind of went from there,” Raunak added. Whether it be going for walks at the Lake Bluff Beach, or going to dinner at their favorite restaurant, Peanut Gallery, they can often be found spending time in town and laughing together.
Sam describes her favorite memory with him as the time she first got her license.
“I had just gotten my license a few hours before, and so I went to pick him up. It was so fun to drive around together for the first time and listen to music,” she said, “It’s hard to pick just one, though, because I really enjoy getting to spend time with him.”
This past turnabout marked the 4th dance for this couple, and they are looking forward to their first prom together.
“My favorite thing about Sam is that she’s super easy to talk to and always has something positive to say,” Wadhera said. “She is one of the most supportive people I know, and I appreciate that she’s always there for me.”
More recently, Raunak and Sam have worked together to reinvent The Global Impact Club. As it was started by Sam’s older sister in 2020, the club went on a hiatus as its members went off to college. Starting in January of 2026, the two have worked together to not only create goals and plan meetings, but have also encouraged many others to join as well.
“It’s been super fun getting work on this together and inviting our friends to join, too,” Raunak mentioned.
Whether you see them at school, the peanut gallery, or maybe even a meeting for Global Impact- make sure to wish this couple a happy Valentine’s Day!
Logan Marsch and Vivi Storino
Most relationships start out with an awkward phase, or even a “talking stage,” before making it official, but not juniors Vivi Storino and Logan Marsch.

With Storino at DPM and Marsch at LBMS, they didn’t have much of an opportunity to officially meet before coming to LFHS. Vivi grew up dancing at the same studio as Logan’s little sister, who was in the same age group as Vivi’s little sister. Ironically, Vivi would usually end up getting dinner with Logan’s mom after dance competitions, where Mrs. Marsch would go home and tell Logan he and Vivi should meet.
Circa 2023, in their freshman year, the two met at a high school football game in the stands. Their personalities instantly clicked, and their humor matched perfectly.
Junior Ava Page, a close friend to Vivi, watched their relationship unfold from the start.
“I remember seeing Vivi chatting with a random boy at the top of the bleachers. I had no clue who Logan was at the time, but little did I know they’d start dating—and keep dating—for another two years,” said Page.
Vivi and Logan are more than just boyfriend and girlfriend; they are truly each other’s best friends.
“My favorite thing about Logan is that he’s the person I want to be around no matter my mood,” explained Vivi.
One of Logan’s favorite things about Vivi is her comforting presence and easy-going attitude.
“There’s never a dull moment with Vivi. Even if we were to hang out every day for hours on end, we would have fun with each other the whole time,” said Logan.

Vivi and Logan’s favorite thing to do together is golf, when the weather allows, of course. Whether they head to Lake Bluff Golf Course on a warm summer day or Par King, it’s one of their go-to activities to do together.
“Even when I cheat in mini golf, he still manages to beat me every time. I will say, it definitely brings out our competitive sides,” said Vivi.
One time, the two ended up at Bear Paw Adventure Park along with the rest of the Marsch family. Even though it’s in the middle of Caledonia, Wisconsin, the fun, yet super random day ended up being one of their favorite memories together, which goes to show that the adventure adds immensely to their spark.
Another fun fact about Logan and Vivi is that they’re in the same friend group. Their friends have nothing but positive things to say about them, and their being together only uplifts the group.
“Logan and Vivi are one special couple,” said junior TC Weninger. “Both funny, weird, and outgoing make them perfect for each other. Vivi treats Logan like a princess, and Logan treats Vivi like his own personal wallet. Kidding.”
“They’re kind of like the mom and dad of the friend group. It’s awesome,” said junior Peyton Brown.
These two are the epitome of a good time. There’s no doubt that you will be in a good mood around them. Happy Valentine’s Day, lovebirds
Brooke Busam and Quinn Donovan
Brooke and Quinn first met at St. Mary’s preschool, went their separate ways in middle school, and reunited at LFHS—where years of crossing paths finally turned into something more.
The two started dating in their freshman year on November 9. If you did that math correctly, then you know they have officially been together for a year and three months now!

Since then, this couple has attended every high school dance together. Their relationship has been filled with many ice cream dates, movie nights, and concerts. If you were to ask any of their friends about them, they would tell you that the best thing about this couple is that they truly are each other’s best friend.
When asked what her favorite thing about Quinn was, Brooke explained that she most admires his passion for his hobbies and his free-spirited personality.
“Take fishing, for example, I’ve learned so much from Quinn about all types of fish and which rivers they are located in. It’s crazy how much he knows,” Busam said. “He’s also so spontaneous. There’s never a boring moment with him because he’s always doing something entertaining–sometimes so random, but always fun.”
They consistently support each other in their interests, whether that means being a listening ear when one wants to talk about something they love or showing up to sporting events to cheer the other on. Quinn has attended nearly all of Brooke’s Varsity Dance Team showcases and even streamed the Nationals competition that took place in Florida so that he could root for her from a distance.
Quinn emphasized how much he values Brooke’s constant presence. From helping him with random things like homework to being there during more serious moments, he makes it known how much he appreciates the time and care she puts into everything she does.
“She’s one of the nicest people I know. One time when I had the flu, she even brought me ice cream–she is always there for me,” Donovan said.
One of their go-to activities to do together is trying new restaurants. A recent outing took them to Billy Brick’s Pizza, which Quinn had highly recommended. After they went, Brooke quickly understood why he was raving about it. It’s simple moments like that that have been some of their favorite memories together.
It’s clear that these two love to experience new things side by side. For Brooke’s birthday last year, Quinn surprised her with tickets for the two of them to go see The Lumineers in concert.
“He’s literally the best gift giver. The concert was so much fun. It was awesome to take the train down, dancing and singing all night,” Busam said.
It’s safe to say that you can always count on these two for a good time. If you see them walking in the halls, don’t be surprised if they’re laughing together or planning their next adventure–and be sure to wish them a Happy Valentine’s Day!
James Altounian and Ella Nanini
Even though they’re in different grades and can’t be voted ‘Cutest Couple’ in the senior superlatives, this pair would definitely take the title.
Let’s take you back to where it all started. Known by most as ‘Tuna’, sophomore James Altounian asked junior Ella Nanini to be his girlfriend on July 16th, 2024. Without his licence, he hopped into her car with a bouquet of flowers and popped the question.

All told, that means they’ve been dating for more than a year and a half.
“We met through his cousin, Eliza Carrabine, who’s one of my good friends,” said Nanini. “We both ended up at the same party, and we just clicked.”
The pair is always supporting one another. Ella never fails to fill the stands at James hockey games and loves his enthusiasm for the sport.
“I love when she comes to my games, even the ones that are far. It means a lot,” said Altounian.
They love hanging with one another, whether it’s watching a movie or taking on a new activity. Amidst all their dates, both Ella and James say their trip to the United Center was their all-time favorite.
“One time we went to a Blackhawks game and ended up racing to the train station on an electric scooter, and somehow, we still missed the train,” said Nanini.
James admires Ella’s dedication to her family and friends.
“She puts others before herself, always. I know I can count on her no matter what,” said Altounian.
Thanks to the two, both their friend groups have become much closer. You could say it was they who made it happen.
“He has a witty sense of humor, and he always makes me laugh. I like talking to him, and it’s easy to be around him,” said Nanini.
And it doesn’t stop there, the two are good gift givers too!
“For Christmas, Ella got me a photo of the two of us, and I keep it on the desk in my room,” said Altounian.
Since they sealed the deal, their relationship has been filled with hockey games, LFHS dances, and movie dates. No matter what they are doing, you can count on them to have a good laugh and a good time.
Happy Valentine’s Day, you two!
The Pereras
For Shelly and Reanna Perera, Lake Forest High School isn’t just a workplace; it’s where their love story began. Mrs. Perera, known to many students as “Mrs. LP,” teaches math at LFHS, while her wife, Reanna, or “Re,” first came to the school coaching basketball and now works in the athletic department, dealing with all the scheduling. What started as seeing each other around games and in the hallways slowly turned into something much bigger.

It all began in the gym. Re was down on the court coaching the basketball team while Mrs. LP would go show up supporting her students and the scouts. After games, they would all go out, and that’s truly where the connection became impossible to ignore.
“We met while I was coaching basketball, she was teaching, and always went to the games, we would go out after, and always just had the best times,” Re said. “After the games, when everyone used to go out, Re would always be just the light of the room, just constant joy,” said Mrs. LP.
Anyone who works with them can immediately see how naturally they balance each other. Mrs. LP is often described as one of the most genuine people you’ll ever meet. She’s someone who is always there, so listen, sympathize, and always be the biggest support she can be.
“I literally call her Superwoman because she is, she does everything, the kids, the house, dealing with me, she handles everything perfectly, and I just love that about her,” said Re.
Re, on the other hand, is the adventurous spirit. She loves trying new things, new activities, new experiences; she always has that open-mindedness. She is extremely competitive, especially when it comes to sports, while many at LFHS may disagree, Re proudly stands as a Packers fan. Beyond athletics, Re is also known for making some amazing and delicious sweet treats.
“Re always makes the best decorated cakes that taste great too for parties. She has made an amazing cake for my son’s birthday every year,” said Mrs. Grzesik, their very close family friend and coworker.
Together, their personalities fit in a way that feels effortless. Mrs. LP’s calm, grounded nature pairs perfectly with Re’s wild, energetic personality. Coworkers often say that they would drop anything and everything to help a friend out, and that even spending a short amount of time with them, you automatically feel happier.
Whether they’re in a classroom, the athletic office, or both, cheering from the sidelines, the Pereras bring warmth, humor, and heart into every space they enter. Their story is proof that sometimes the most meaningful love stories happen in the most unexpected places, even right here at Lake Forest High School.
