What truly completes the perfect high school experience? An eventful school dance story, of course! Whether it be a dance floor disaster, or a pre party mishap, I’d bet every LFHS student has a funny story or experience tucked away.
The Forest Scout accumulated a few of the best anonymous stories from students around LFHS, all with their own entertaining and humorous flair. Our only warning: Brace yourself for a whirlwind of shock, disbelief, and absolute hilarity.
“I was sitting in the seat closest to the bathroom on the prom bus, and my friend complained that her Spanx were too tight, so she threw them at my face. I then made my date hold onto them for the night because my friend said they were Skims, and too nice to throw away.”
“The morning after Prom, I slept from 8:00-9:00 at my friends house and 15 girls woke me up to the song Party in the USA to coach kindergartners in lacrosse.”
“While walking through navy pier someone said to my date ‘You cute white boy,’ while checking him out.”

“During one of my first big parties after the Winter Formal, we heard people screaming “Cops! Cops!” So me and my best friend decided to run toward the fences, and I got hoisted over by my senior crush. It made my night.”
“My parents woke up in the middle of the night and texted me “So I guess we’re having the post.”
“Our scary Russian Uber had enough seats to fit us… but refused to take us unless we gave him an extra tip… He started screaming at us but we could only pick out pieces of words and finally my date told him “We aren’t doing business with you, Goodbye.”
“My friend was super sick on the bus to Prom, so when we got there our dates that we barely knew held up a wall and I held her hair and we ran out to behind a cop car while she profusely threw up in a parking garage.”
“Dude, crowd surfing at Homecoming was unreal- you get hoisted up and it feels like you’re legit floating on everyone’s hands- but then I got kicked out of the dance.”
“I was moshing it up, getting pushed around and was still wearing my heels and my foot got jumped on. It broke my foot and it was bruised for probably more than a month.”
“On the way to Homecoming my senior year, me and six of my friends took an Uber to the dance and needless to say, I don’t think our driver actually had a license. EDM was blasting and we didn’t stop swerving”
“It was midnight on the way home from Prom and the top of our bus legit crashed into a bridge. Bus #8 quickly took cover.”
“I was on the dance floor and excused myself, and noticed that I left a trail of blood behind. My English teacher came chasing after me to check if I was okay.”
“My mom woke me up the morning after Homecoming to ask me whose underwear was on our family couch. I gasped.”
I think we’ll leave off on that note.
From one high schooler to another, I hope that in your teenage career you get to share a school dance story as memorable as some of the ones above.
