With the holidays coming up, here are five Chicago area restaurants that turn festive and are fun places to visit this holiday season.

1. Jojo’s Shake Bar
Located on 23 W Hubbard St in Chicago, Jojo’s Shake Bar provides an immersive holiday experience with extravagant milkshakes. They have a ton of holiday events, such as ornament painting or gingerbread decorating throughout the month of Dec. They are not just a holiday restaurant, though, as they have a menu for other holidays and a regular menu, too.

2. The Marshall Field’s Walnut Room
Located on 111 North State Street in Chicago, The Walnut Room is an iconic Chicago holiday dining tradition. Inside, there is a giant 45 foot tree decorated in the center of the room. It provides a magical atmosphere along with great American food.

3. Pit and Tap
This restaurant is located on 1168 Wilmette Avenue in Wilmette. They have a ton of Christmas decorations like twinkle lights, wreaths, garlands, ornaments, and many more! These decorations are not just on the inside, but the outside too. This restaurant serves a variety of great barbaque foods.

4. Reserve 22
This is an American restaurant decked out with many decorations inside. They also have many dates when Santa comes and visits with children! Their holiday pop-up goes until Jan. 1st and it is located on 485 Winchell Way in Glen Ellyn. Make sure to check it out!

5. Scratchboard Kitchen
Walking in this restaurant makes you feel like you’re entering a cozy ski-lodge. With a holiday themed chalet, winter decor, and seasonal foods, it is a very cozy and fun spot. This restaurant has a chiller vibe and is located on 5 W Campbell St in Arlington Heights.
