Lollapalooza is back for the 22nd time in Chicago’s Grant Park. As music artists of all different genres, looks, and sounds take the festival floor, strong opinions surrounding the lineup join alongside. With over a hundred acts to consider, here are our hits, misses, and hot takes for the 2026 Lollapalooza lineup.

Underrated Acts (Brooke)

Geese

Genre: indie rock

Indie rock band Geese has risen in fame in recent years with their experimental, recognizable music. Geese is currently on an international tour which has been described as the “hottest indie tour of the year.”

Disco Lines

Genre: EDM

*First time playing Lollapalooza

American musician, producer, and DJ, Disco Lines will be taking the Lollapalooza stage this year for the first time and with growing hype. For any EDM/House/Dance lovers, Disco Lines’ set is the spot for you.

Between Friends

Genre: indie/alternative-pop

This band has not only a discography of well-crafted hits and deep-cuts, but houses a specific ambience and vibe at their shows. Between Friends is back at Lollapalooza with their vibey show, making them an exciting name and perfect fit for the festival.

Senior Brooke Spencer is very excited to be a first-year writer for The Forest Scout. At Lake Forest High School, she is involved in numerous clubs, including Student Council, Student to Student Club, Yearbook Club, and CROYA. Outside of school, Brooke is both a dancer and dance teacher; she also loves art, listening to music, and playing guitar.

Ford Davie, Staff Writer

Ford Davie is a senior at Lake Forest High School who is very excited to be a returning writer for The Forest Scout. He’s heavily involved in the school’s New Media program, where he has produced 100+ projects. Outside of school, you can find Ford travelling, boating, attending live music, or golfing!
