ALUMNI MEMORIAL FIELD HOUSE – In the last game of the season at Lake Forest College’s Alumni Memorial Field house, the Scouts hosted Evanston in a eighth and ninth seeded sweet sixteen matchup. Lake Forest had split the regular season series winning 4-1 at home before losing 4-2 at Evanston’s Robert Crown Ice arena. The Lake Forest Hockey Club entered the matchup with a win over New Trier White in the round of 32 while Evanston had a win over the Saint Ignatius Maroon team.

Scouts Hockey came out on top with a 2-1 win with goals from seniors Zach Shoemaker and Jackson Drum while senior goaltender Teddy Huddelstun stopped 33 shots on net.

They play New Trier Green, the reigning 2023 AHAI state champions and 2024 Scholastic Cup champions. The Scouts were swept by the Trevians in the season series but have been able to keep up with them better than most other teams.
