We’re almost through October and that means that everyone’s favorite spooky holiday is near. Just like the other holidays, Halloween has its festivities. From the famous “trick or treating” in scary costumes to lighting bonfires and carving pumpkins, the traditions have lasted years. Every family has different traditions and favorite ones. So let’s see what our students and teachers at LFHS have to say!

Regardless of being in high school or not, LFHS students still love to go trick or treating…

  • “Gotta be trick or treating, especially with friends. No matter how old you are, ” said senior Aiden Puthenveetil.

Lots of families enjoy decorating their homes during the spooky season…

  • “I really love decorating the house,” said senior Rachel Silvers.

  • “I really like decorating my house with my family,” said Ms. Hektor.

Candy is always a big hit…

  • “Blow pops..they’re my favorite candy,” said senior Bolurin Taiwo.

  • “To be honest, eating candy,” senior Alan Mackic said, “ and of course decorating.”

Festive movies never miss…

  • “Watching the movie Halloween,” senior Grace Boyle said.

  • “For me, carving pumpkins and making cookies,” said senior Izzy Marsico.

Family time is always a good time…

  • “Probably watching movies with my family,” said senior Luke Joseph .

  • “Personally, I really like spending time with the family,” said Mr. Mann.

Overall LFHS seems to have lots of favorites. Some are more unusual than others… Blow pops? The most common were decorating houses, carving pumpkins, and baking treats. But out of all the responses the most frequent tradition came out to be “Decorating Houses.”

The Forest Scout wishes everyone a happy, safe, and spooky Halloween!
