Scouts travel south to Glenview to take on GBS in non-conference tilt

Scouts+travel+south+to+Glenview+to+take+on+GBS+in+non-conference+tilt

Tonight’s game poses a matchup between two teams heading in completely different directions. Glenbrook South is coming off five straight losses, most recently a 22-point loss to Niles North, while Lake Forest High School is streaking, with three straight wins over North Suburban Conference opponents. On Saturday night, the Scouts defeated the Warren Blue Devils in a highly contested, eight point victory, 53-45. The win shows large improvement for this team who lost to the Devils on their home court just a month ago.

The Titans are still searching for a win on their home court as they hold an 0-5 record at the notorious Titan Dome. They’re led by Will King, a junior guard who also happens to wear #1. Coach Phil Ralston’s team competes in a very difficult conference, featuring Evanston, New Trier, Niles North, and Maine South. His squad is surely battle-tested as they’ve also faced off against some NSC opponents. They’ve squared off against Warren, Waukegan, and Zion Benton: managing to defeat Warren by eight while losing to the Bulldogs and Zee-Bees.

Even with their poor record, the Titans will be no pushover. Granted, Lake Forest is expected to return home with a victory. But after five straight losses, the Titans will play with some ferocity hoping to end their cold streak.

Make the journey out to Glenview tonight to cheer on the Scouts as they take on the Titans at Glenbrook South at 7:00pm.
