After winning back-to-back State Championships, how will the Men’s Varsity Lacrosse team keep the record alive with new faces and heightened standards?
With numerous starters from the past two seasons graduating, new figures are taking the field with the support of some players who’ve seen serious playing time.

The 2023-2024 season held an impressive 23-3 record and secured the Illinois High School Association (ISHA) championship, leaving a memorable season for those who experienced it.
In the 2024-2025 season, the Scouts managed to have an even better record of 24-2, keeping a top ranking in Illinois and building on the lacrosse team’s record.
The previous season gave a goal to maintain, which was to add another title, but with a new roster for the ‘26 season, there is mixed experience with the upperclassmen; some have seen the field multiple seasons, while others may be playing on the varsity roster for the first time.
With the first game a little over a month away, players who’ve been exposed to the culture and experience of the past seasons have to now take control to keep the consistency and confidence of a winning team.
“This year will definitely be a lot different from the one prior due to our strong 2025 class being gone, but I believe every returning player will fill a new role,” junior Captain Emmet Lee said. “We have been practicing hard throughout the off-season, and I’m excited to see who will make a big impact this year.”
With more major matchups at home this season, the team is hoping for a bigger student section to add to their home-field advantage. “Compared to last year, many of our big games are at home this year, and we need fans to come out and give support,” senior Captain Thomas Walsh said.
The Scouts’ season will open with high expectations from within the team and from its supporters.

The path to another Championship will be different with new players sharing the spotlight with returning stars on the field, and with the foundation of a Championship team already laid, the team is eager to prove that they can keep the title and the tradition throughout the season and yield success.
