Soundtrack of My Life With Mrs. Logas

Mrs. Logas has been a teacher at LFHS for around 15 years. She is most known for teaching math. However, with her many years of experience in choir, Mrs. Logas is well versed in music too! Here is Mrs. Logas’ “Soundtrack of My Life.”

A song that defined your childhood?

“‘Larger than Life’ by the Backstreet Boys. Boys bands were at the height of their popularity during my elementary and middle school years!”

A song that defines your high school years?

“‘This is the Time’ by Billy Joel. My dad absolutely loves Billy Joel and I heard his music constantly. Some lyrics from this song were also my senior quote in my yearbook.”

A song that brings back a specific memory?

“‘Bittersweet Symphony’ by the Verve.  I listened to this song throughout college while walking between buildings and also studying for difficult exams.”

A song that helped you through a difficult time?

“‘Cold as Ice’ by Foreigner. It helped when dealing with breakups and difficult issues with friendships.”

A song you wish you had written?

“‘The Scientist’ by Coldplay. The chords used in the song are gorgeous. This also happens to be one of my husband’s favorite songs.”

A song that captures who you used to be?

“‘Feeling Good’ by Michael Bublé. I really enjoyed my high school and college experience and truly did appreciate the opportunities I received, especially musically. I love, and still currently love, choral music. Also, ‘Big Band/Swing’ music is one of my personal favorites (like the song Feeling Good)”

A song that perfectly captures your personality now?

“‘Lean on Me’ by Bill Withers. I feel that one of my strengths is connecting with others and making them feel comfortable––whether that is in the classroom, with my co-workers or in my personal life.”

A song that you think should be important to everyone?

“‘Beautiful’ by Christina Aguilera. The words truly reflect that every person is unique and brings joy to the world.”
