Would You Rather: Loyalty or Honesty?

Would You Rather: Loyalty or Honesty?
Taylor Ross

In our first edition of Would you Rather? The Forest Scout asked students and staff whether they would rather have loyalty or honesty in a frienship. While loyalty is about the emotional bond and devotion to a person or group, honesty is about being a truthful person who does not hide.

Tony Emma

“Loyalty because if they are loyal, they will be honest. If you have a good friend you trust them, they won’t let you walk around mad or sad.”

Cal Eggers

“Honesty is the biggest thing in friendship. People need to own up. “

Maeve Camoletto

‘There is no loyalty without honesty. In order to protect someone, you have to be careful what to say to not hurt that person. It is important to be honest all the time because that’s how (trust) builds.

Laura Sullivan

“Loyalty. I think good, true real friends are hard to come by and when you have that true friend it is important to love the person unconditionally. The loyalty that you have for one another remains even when you disagree.”

Layla Steinbacher

“If someone is loyal, they would not be dishonest with you.”
