Sunday night was the Committee Dance, and some of Lake Forest’s juniors and seniors put on their finest attire for the night and headed downtown. All boys looked dashing and every girl looked stunning, but two looks stood out to the In Style Department at The Forest Scout. Congratulations to junior Mia Johnson and senior Lissa Davis for being best dressed at the Committee Dance 2016!
Mia wore a sparkling gown which she paired with a plain black choker to look both trendy and elegant. Though you could not directly see her shoes, a small slit on the side of her dress exposed her fashionable black heels that tied around her ankles!
Lissa wore a bright red dress, but what set her look apart from the rest was her accessorizing. She wore a trendy gold necklace to complete her outfit and spice up her dress!
Everyone looked amazing at Committee, but these girls’ two looks could not go unnoticed. Stay tuned for more outfits recognized by the In Style Department of The Forest Scout.

This classist, cliquey, haughty event should not be highlighted in a public school newspaper. Furthermore, highlighting the event through the lens of commenting on children’s outfits is even more disturbing. LFHS has a storied history of suicide and isolation for many of its students. Featuring the worst of LF culture in a school setting is remarkably tone-deaf and inappropriate.
