Cubs Parade Set for Friday

A+crowd+of+people+at+night

The Chicago Cubs have set their parade date to honor their fan base. After Rahm Emanuel and Cubs management extensively conferred with the Chicago Police Department, Friday, November 4th 2016 is the decided date of the Cubs World Series Championship parade in downtown Chicago. The parade will start at Wrigley Field, the Cubs’ home ballpark and will end at Grant Park near the city’s loop district.

Thousands are expected to be on hand to celebrate the Cubs’ first world championship in 108 years. Of course, with Lake Forest Community High School District 115 and Chicago Public Schools out of session on this day, a substantial teenage contingent is expected to be downtown for the festivities.

On behalf of The Forest Scout, please be safe, use public transit and good judgment in celebrating the Cubs’ historic season.
