Jenny Ortega is a senior at Lake Forest High School who writes for the In Style section of The Forest Scout. Jenny’s go-to look for any day at school is vintage ripped jeans and her favorite plaid shirt. For Jenny, the essential pieces in anyone’s closet are: jeans (they have to be ripped), basic shirts she can upcycle, and white sneakers. Her favorite places to shop are Free People, American Eagle, and H&M.  Jenny describes her style as more eclectic than anything else–she attempts to pull off different styles and looks depending on the day. Any day of the week you can see Jenny’s style go from super girly to distressed and laid back.

In the high school, Jenny appeals to people who don’t have a specific or distinct style, but are trying on new styles and fashions for size at different times. She appreciates fashion, but knows you don’t always have to pay the high end price to look and feel great.
