Do you like horror movies? If so, this upcoming play is for you!
The drama department is trading laughter for screams with a fall play that is creepy yet captivating. The theater department will be putting on the play Thursday through Saturday. The show’s student director is sophomore Eloise Fairchild. It is performed by students ranging from freshmen through seniors.
“The actors have been working so incredibly hard to put this show together!” says sophomore Eloise Fairchild.
Cast member junior Nico Caputo says the show will keep audience members “on the edge of (their) seats until the very end.”
“Everyone should come to Trap because it’s an incredibly unique play, different from any play our school has done before,” he said.
The theater department has worked long and hard hours after school just to make sure that it’s ready for people to see.
“During the play season, we have rehearsals until 6 p.m. every single night of the week, then sometimes we get called in on Saturdays if we didn’t finish something, but besides just those rehearsals, we also have to work on memorizing lines outside of practices,” says junior Liam Sherdian.
Senior Jay Rener called the show “one of a kind.”

“If you were to see a high school performance, this would be the one. It would have you on the edge of your seat if you’re not running out in fear,” says Rener.
Fairchild says the cast is phenomenal, and the directors Mrs. Dreiling and Mrs. Neal have brilliantly pieced this show together.
“Trap is a show that is unique and unlike any some may have seen before,” she said.
As opening night approaches, one thing is certain: whether you love a good scare or you love theater, this play is for you. So get your tickets while you can and bring a friend to come watch Trap.
