Boys Rankings
- Belt Boyzzz Elite (6-1)
For the first time this season, the Belt Boyzzz have finally made it up to the #1 rank. Their very highly anticipated matchup against the Bearcats last week resulted in a dominating victory which helped boost them up the rankings. They finished up the weekend with a win against the Pink Panthers.
2. Butter Burger Hoops (6-2)
This season, Butter Burger has put together many simple victories. Every week it seems like a guarantee for the boys to win at least one game in their slate. Before the start of the playoffs, Butter Burger has a big matchup against Puck Bandits which will serve as a very interesting game to watch.
3. P.I.G. (4-0-1)
P.I.G. has shown that they are one of the best teams in the league as they maintain a top three position. P.I.G. is yet to have a loss this year, but their strength of schedule holds them back from the top. This team is yet to play any of the top five teams, but their dominant victories show this team will definitely create struggles for teams in the playoffs.
4. Track and Freak (5-3)
After a blowout win against the SRC Hooligans, Track and Freak moves up to the #4 position. They have had a rollercoaster of a season as they have constantly been moving up and down the rankings. For the most part, this team has shown that they can win games. With the playoffs coming up, Track and Freak definitely still has a chance to make a deep run.
5. Lizard Kings (3-3)
The final team rounding out this week’s rankings is Lizard Kings. The Lizard Kings are coming off of back-to-back losses to Butter Burger and Bearcats, but this team definitely still has talent. While they are facing a minor setback late into the season, this team has what it takes to create some late upsets.
Girls Rankings
- Backboard Breakers (4-0)
With our first girls rankings of the year, it would be crazy not to put the Backboard Breakers at #1. With an undefeated season so far, this senior led team shows that they are currently the favorites to win the upcoming playoffs.
2. Untouchables (3-1)
The Untouchables just picked up a huge 12-8 victory against Pack Nation this past weekend. Currently, the Untouchables are looking to create a deep run into the playoffs, and this recent win is starting them on the right path. They are closing out their regular season with an upcoming game against the Layup Ladies.
3. Shot City (3-2)
Shot City comes in as the second highest ranked senior team behind the Backboard Breakers. However, this team has shown promises to potentially win it all this year. A close loss to the Backboard Breakers earlier this season shows that they can definitely compete with the best.
4. Pack Nation (4-3)
Coming off of a loss is never fun, but we are definitely not concerned with Pack Nation’s ability to bounce back. With a final regular season game against the Booming Ballers coming up, don’t be surprised to see Pack Nation heading into the playoffs with a (5-3) record.
5. Ball Busters (2-2)
Rounding out our rankings are the Ball Busters. With some impressive wins this season, this team can create some upsets late into the season. With a big game against Shot City coming up this week, it will be a very important game to see how this team will fare against a top team before the playoffs.
