Team Rankings
- Lizard Kings (3-1)
Lizard Kings move up to #1 after a big win against Puck Banditz 20-16. Patrick Walsh had a great game and led the team to the win. The Lizard Kings also offer tremendous defense behind their big men Nick Angelos, Coco Fallidas, and Chris Lindemann.
2. Butterburger Hoops (3-1)
Butterburger Hoops loses the top spot after a narrow loss to Track and Freak. The team struggled to find a win and the absence of key players didn’t help. Butterburger Hoops is still a great team with impressive wins so there is little nervousness that losses will continue.
3. P.I.G (2-0-1)
After a scary-close win against the SRC Hooligans, P.I.G finds a way to move up in the rankings. The record speaks for itself, proving the success of the team so far this season. Being one of the two teams left without a loss shows that P.I.G deserves a spot towards the top.
4. Puck Bandits (1-1-1)
Recent injuries to the Puck Banditz may have been the reason for a 16-20 loss to the Lizard Kings this past weekend. Due to their impressive start to the season, a short staffed loss doesn’t harm their rank too much. However, this past weekend allowed for some of their bench players to develop some more minutes which could hopefully prove to be beneficial in the future.
5. Track and Freak (2-2)
Track and Freak is rolling into this week with a massive win last week over Butterburger Hoops. With their fast play style, Track and Freak has been a difficult matchup for opponents every week. This team’s work effort and quick transition defense helps keep them in games. As Track and Freak continue to climb the rankings, more teams are realizing their potential.
6. Belt Boyzzz Elite (2-1)
After an 11 point victory against the Milkmen, it seems like Belt Boyzzz Elite is starting to catch their stride. A rough start to the season has been followed by back-to-back wins. With a big game coming up against Track and Freak this week, we will see if this team is legit.
7. Bearcats (2-0)
We know it seems completely ridiculous to put an undefeated team at #7, but we believe that the best ability a team can have is availability. Having to cancel last week’s game doesn’t help the Bearcats case. They started off well with two wins, but are yet to show anything impressive. With the Bearcats back into motion this week we hope to see them showcase their talents.
8. Milkmen (1-3)
The Milkmen had a tough weekend, going 0-2 with losses to Track and Freak and Belt Boyzzz Elite. However, despite having three losses, the Milkmen are a very talented team who isn’t afraid to create some upsets. Their fast pace and three point efficiency could scare some other teams moving forward in the season.
9. Pink Panthers (0-2)
Due to schedule confusions, Pink Panthers game this past weekend with Belt Boyzzz Elite was moved to later in the season. Like Bearcats, not being able to see this team play is upsetting because we know the potential they have. Don’t be surprised to see this team move up in the rankings if they can capture a couple of wins.
10. SRC Hooligans (1-2)
The SRC Hooligans were nearly able to pull off an upset against P.I.G this past weekend. After playing a fantastic game, they showed that they do have a chance to create some wins this season if they can start to capitalize. Their only win this season came off of a roster dispute with Lizard Kings in Week 1.
