Name: Mahi Bhalla

Major: Data Sciences and Finance

Location: West Lafayette, Indiana

Mascot: Boilermakers

How did you first hear about Purdue, and what made you apply? “I found it when I was researching schools and seemed like a good fit!!! It had everything I was looking for and more in a school. I decided to apply because of its amazing program and the super fun campus life.”

Why Purdue? “I chose Purdue because it has such a great program for what I want to study and I really loved the technical focus of all the majors at Purdue! The campus is also beautiful and very lively!”

What are you most excited about? “Definitely meeting new people and trying new things!”

How did you first hear about Illinois Wesleyan, and what made you apply? “I got recruited for football.”

Why Illinois Wesleyan? “To play football.”

What are you most excited about? “Meeting new people.”

How did you first hear about UF, and what made you apply? “I first heard of UF when I went to visit family that lives in Tampa. I was just starting my college search and my parents thought it would be a good first campus visit. I fell in love with the school and decided to apply.”

Why UF? “I chose UF because the combination of a beautiful campus, great academics, and amazing people made it the perfect fit for me. I also loved everything about the business school buildings and programs.”

What are you most excited about? “I am excited to meet lots of new people, go to football games, and live somewhere with warm weather!”

 

Name: Lizzie LeGrand

Major: Graphic Design

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Mascot: Badgers

How did you first hear about UW-Madison, and what made you apply? “Both of my parents went to Madison so I visited many times growing up!”

Why UW-Madison? “I chose Wisconsin because of the great opportunities it has for my major and fun social life it offers!”

What are you most excited about? “I’m really excited to get to know new people and meet people with similar interests as me!”

How did you first hear about Cal Poly, and what made you apply? “My mom put it on my list of colleges.”

Why Cal Poly? “I chose Cal Poly because it is the best school I got accepted at.”

What are you most excited about? “Being on the beach and finding my people.”

Why Indiana? “Good study programs, In-state residency, good costs, and a familiar area.”

What are you most excited about? “Learning new things and exploring my area of study.”
