It’s time for some exciting high school baseball action as the Lake Forest Scouts prepare to face off against the Libertyville Wildcats in a two-game series that promises to be an epic battle of the bats and gloves.

The Scouts are coming into this series with a record of 8-3 and are looking to add to their tally of victories. They will be relying on their strong pitching staff to keep the Wildcats at bay, led by ace freshman pitcher, Callum Morrison, who has adjusted well to varsity baseball this season with an ERA of 0.95. The Scout’s offense is also firing on all cylinders, with two big senior hitters like Matt Durburg and Sheppard Graf, who have been consistently delivering hits and runs.

On the other hand, the Libertyville Wildcats have had a solid season so far, with a record of 5-6-2. Their pitching staff has been solid, led by Sam Calsin, who has an ERA of 1.68, and their offense has been equally impressive, led by the hard-hitting duo of Tyler DeFranco and Josh Holst.

This two-game series promises to be a nail-biter, as both teams are fairly evenly matched and hungry for a win. So as the Lake Forest Scouts and Libertyville Wildcats gear up to face each other in this series, the Scouts are ready to bring their best game to the field.

“We played well this past weekend against Antioch and we want to carry the momentum into this high-intensity series against the Wildcats this week,” Senior Bobby Alzamora said.

The series’ first game will be played on Monday, April 10th, at the Lake Forest High School baseball field, and the second game will be played on Tuesday, April 11th, at the Libertyville High School baseball field.
