Failure: A Love Story, the 2022 Fall Play, will be opening this week at LFHS. Written by Philip Dawkins and directed by Mr. Joe Pulio and Mrs. Sara Dreiling, this play tells the story of three sisters: Nelly, Jenny June, and Gerty. By the end of 1928, each of the sisters will die.  This mystical, unexpected, heartwarming play explores love, loss, and failure.

So much hard work and dedication has gone into the play. In the weeks leading up to the performance, the actors and members of the tech crew stay for several hours each night, working on perfecting this play.

Georgia Sottosanto-Sorenson is the sound design/sound board operator for the play and is on the tech crew. The tech crew works five days a week after school for three hours, and all day on Saturdays.

“It’s been a satisfying experience watching the set come together and watching how the little things that we’ve built end up fitting into the big set itself,” Sorenson said.

Senior Jack Taylor who plays the role of Mortimer Mortimer sees how the show has a bit of everything for everyone.

“This show has everything,” senior Jack Taylor said. “It’s got comedy, drama, and heartbreak, and it’s a musical. It’s got something for everyone.”

Senior Tally Feingold is excited to perform in the show.

“It’s been a lot of work, but it’s definitely been worth it because I’ve had a great cast to collaborate with, so it’s been a lot of fun,” she said.
