A trend can be defined as a general direction in which groups of people are following. Trends are always constantly changing as years go by. From skinny jeans to baggy jeans, or cropped hoodies to oversized ones, trends can vary on many different scales. Listed below are some of my favorite current trends that I’ve been seeing throughout the school halls this past year.

Adidas sneakers are quickly rising in popularity. The styles of shoe come in a variety of different forms: sambas, campus 00s, gazelles, and more. The old, popular type of Adidas used to be the black and white Adidas Superstar shoes, but now, generations have shifted into a new type of look. I own two pairs of the campus 00 style and love to wear them when I want to make my basic outfits a little more interesting with a colorful pair of shoes!

Graphic tees are being worn more as summer approaches and the weather gets warmer. They are simple and comfy but can easily elevate a look. You can dress a graphic tee up or down and they can easily go with any piece of clothing. From sweatpants to jeans, they are perfect for all occasions. They are also a great way to show off your personality from the variety of designs they have to offer. 

Low rise jeans are making a comeback in 2024. They used to be all the rage back in the early 2000s but have faded out of style when high rise jeans took over the clothing industry. However, recently they have been gaining back their reign over fashion and are a perfect staple to have in any closet. They can be found in stores like Brandy Melville, Zara, Pacsun, and so many others. They steer away from the high rise jean trends and allow for the previous, Y2K nostalgic styles to make their way back into popularity.

Headbands are the perfect way to style hair. They turn a basic hairstyle into something stylish while also being useful for getting hair out of your face. They can be used for an any-day outfit, or also for workouts and other activities. Plus, they come in fun designs and colors to match your outfits. They are an easy, practical way to make you look and feel put together. I recently just started wearing headbands and always look to put one on whenever I feel like getting my hair out of my face while still looking fashionable. 

Gold hoop earrings are a classic but versatile way to dress up any outfit. They are super comfortable to wear and can instantly spice up a look. These earrings are a timeless accessory that pretty much will never go out of style. They are perfect for dressier looks and when you just simply want to look nice on a night out. I have several pairs of these chunky hoops that I wear on a daily basis and I would say they are a total wardrobe staple.
