Few things define someone’s style quite like a great pair of shoes. The Forest Scout asked some of our most stylish Scouts to describe their favorite shoes.

Daniel Iacch     

US History Co-teacher Mr. Daniel Lacch is wearing Air Force 1s, and they are his favorite brand of shoes. He has two pairs, each costing $120. The reason he loves this shoe is because “it’s a simple design that looks good with a lot of stuff and for me it represents sneaker culture.” Lacch started liking this shoe at 30 years old. The shoes that he really wants are the special edition Air Jordan 4 Retro, and the reason he wants these is because “they are really unique and original jays, so original Nike.” 

Leo Abarca

Leo Arbarca is wearing Air Jordan 1s. They cost $120. His favorite type of shoes are Air Force 1s and Leo because “they are comfortable  and you can wear them with anything.” He started liking this brand three to four years ago. Leo had four  pairs but now has two. Leo said if he had to choose any brand of shoe he would want the Dior x Nike Air Jordan 1 High Ogs.

Laura Clegg

 Dean Laura Clegg is wearing Air Jordan 1 low tops and they cost $190-200 dollars. She likes a wide variety of amazing shoes. Nike is her most worn shoe brand. Clegg talks about how she has been a sneakerhead. “I have always been into shoes. Before the pandemic, I used to wear heels. Now I love sneakers. I own a lot of shoes.“ She has been into shoes since high school. Clegg Has over 100 pairs of shoes. If she could choose any shoe, it would be Union LA Air Jordan 1 Elevate High Tops because she “was interested in these because of the platform.”

Daniel Panfil

 Counselor Daniel Panfil is wearing Jordan 1 Lows and they cost $140 dollars. His favorite type of shoes are Nikes and Jordans. The story behind liking this brand is very interesting. Panfil played basketball growing up and played in college. “I was always into Air Jordans. It’s been a long history of wearing Jordans and enjoying the brand. I wear a lot of Jordans and sometimes Jordan 1s, 2s, 3s, and 4s. Wear one and keep one. Panfil  started liking this brand as a kid and as a teenager in 1985. Here is something you should know about that date. For those who don’t know, 1985 was the rookie year for Jordan in the nba!  Daniel had 20-30 pairs of Jordans. If he could choose any shoe, it would be the Jordan 3 Black Cement. 

Marcos Roeck

Marcos Roeck is wearing Adidas and they cost $60. His favorite type of shoes are Nike. Marcos loves this brand of shoe because “almost all of the shoes I have bought have been  Nike. It’s like a habit.” Marcos has liked Nike since 6th grade and has two pairs of this brand. If Marcos could choose any brand of shoe, it would be Air Jordan 1 Mid Lakers limited edition. He says he likes the style of this shoe.
