Intro:

This past week the 121st annual Chicago Auto Show was held at McCormick Place. From Feb. 11th to the 20th the Auto Show was open to the public. Visitors from all around the country and the world come to get a glimpse of the latest and most luxurious cars on the market From foreign sports cars such as Lamborghini, Bentley, and Rolls Royce, to more affordable brands like Jeep, GMC, Toyota, KIA, and numerous others, car brands from around the world display their 2023 models. LFHS took some of their business classes to observe the show.

Model: 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution EV Truck

Price: $100k

Intentionally a pattern began to be seen throughout the Auto Show and that is many companies are switching to EVs. For Ram, it is the 2024 Ram 1500 Revolution EV, this monster of the car left us speechless due to the near side of the truck and the possibility of it being electric. When listening to the spokeswoman, stated that the truck “is capable of charging 100 miles of range with just 10 minutes”. Be ready to see a lot of these on the roads in the years to come, we expect this to be a desired vehicle.

Model: 2024 Hummer EV

Price: $108k

Similarly to RAM, GMC is also following the EV train, however, this time it is doing it by bringing back the once-loved Hummer. In the past, Hummers were frowned upon due to their poor gas mileage and the size of the tank and were deemed inefficient and a waste, resulting in the Hummer being retired for many years. But it’s back and better than ever. The new EV Hummer will allow for a Power Station generator that will allow its customers to use up to 3 kilowatts of power from the car. Making this car a power source and a backup generator for any type of adventure into the wilderness.

Model: Toyota LQ

 Expected price: $75k-$100k

There was one car that stood out from the rest this year at the Chicago Auto Show, and that was the Toyota LQ. What separates the Toyota LQ from any of the other cars is that it is an AI-based vehicle that will establish an emotional connection with the driver. As crazy as it sounds when we went into the car we were able to have an entire complex conversation with the car. Along with its unique structure, the vehicle is EV as well as autonomous. With such unique features, we doubt the car will be seen on the roads, but it is still interesting to see the direction technology and cars are heading.

Model: 2022 Lamborghini Countach

Price: $2.7 million

As you walk around the Auto Show, there will always be that one car brand that sticks out from the rest. The famous, unforgettable, luxurious, Lamborghini Countach is laid on display in a prime spot amongst the rest of the foreign sports cars. From the fluid structure of the car to the flashy color, this car stood out compared to the rest. With Lamborghini only making 112 Hybrid Countach, they are selling at an astounding $2.64 million dollars. Do we suggest that if you have the money, then why not buy it? But for the other 99% of the world, it will be a nice car to look at at the Auto Show.

Model: 2022 Rolls Royce Cullinan “Black Badge”

Price: $569k

The Cullinan is the luxury car of all luxury cars. Weighing in at just around 6,000 lbs this unit is made for a comfortable smooth ride. But please don’t be mistaken, This unit can move. With 625 lbs of torque, this V12 gets the car going about 155 at a top speed. The Black Badge is also one of the most exclusive colorways for the Cullinan, As it is not listed on Rolls Royce’s website for colorways. To be honest you need to know someone to get your hands on a Black Badge.

Model: 2022 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Ultimae

Price: $573k

The lamborghini section unsurprisingly gathered the biggest crowd at the Chicago auto show. These Italian beasts have been the face of supercars for a few years now. Even though The Huracan is the most popular model, the Aventador is not far behind it. The Aventador has sold out at Lamborghini for their popularity and variety of colorways this year and is expected to do the same next year. For this Lamborghini you’re looking at, it is 1 of 25 in the world. The ultimae is one of the most rare Aventadors there is. These cars are known for their top speed and acceleration. This car can go from 0-60 in just 2.9 seconds and will take you to a top speed of 220 mph.

Model: KIA Telluride driving simulator

Price: $25k

Although it may not be a car, We thought we had to tell you about this stage 5 full-motion driving simulator. To give guests the real feeling of an offroad Telluride driving experience KIA held a free trial on their offroad track. On this simulator, you could feel every rock or bump, as your seat and wheel would shake giving you the feeling of driving a real car. We loved testing out this simulator and if you ever get the chance to try it we highly recommend it.

Model: 1956 Lincoln Continental

Price: $20k

Several cars at the Chicago Auto Show left guests’ jaw dropped but not like this custom Lincoln Continental. With an ice-white interior And a completely see-thru “bubble” style hardtop, this was very hard to miss. The Continental has been a staple car for Lincoln for quite a while, Lincoln started production of the famous sedan in 1939, But Lincoln decided to discontinue production of the continental in 2020 leaving Lincoln as a primarily SUV production company.
