Scout football fans packed the stadium this Friday to watch the Scouts take on their bitter rivals the Libertyville Wildcats. To celebrate Homecoming, fans were dressed head to toe in Scouts gear and shooting off confetti cannons. Unfortunately, the result was not what they had hoped.

It was a tough game for the Scouts with many plays coming up short. Libertyville scored three touchdowns in the first quarter, but the Scouts held off a 2 point conversion towards the end of the first quarter leaving the Wildcats with a 22-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second and third quarter the Scouts struggled to gain any ground but their defense held strong against the Wildcats with neither team scoring in the second and third quarters.

The Scouts crept back with a running touchdown from Graham Garrigan and connected on the PAT, but it was not enough to trump the Wildcats and the game ended 22-7.

The 1-3 Scouts are set to face off against the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees this upcoming Friday. The Zee-Bees have a season record of 0-3 so it should be an even match up for the Scouts. Zion has had a rocky start to their season with losses to Maine West, Mundelein, and Lake Zurich. All in all it should be a good chance for the Scouts to regain their footing this season.

Final Score 22-7
