Ana Gonzalez-Guzman

Where did the good deed or accomplishment occur?

Extra-curriculars

What happened?

We were roommates at the Model United Nations conference in Chicago. Despite being a freshman, she’s a great example of someone facing a new(and very intense!) environment, and coming out with not only knowledge, but perspective. Although I’m a junior, I find that I have found inspiration from Ana and her strength of mind. I’ve remembered what it’s like to be eaten alive by people with competition at their core and having to force myself to speak up and make my presence known, to push myself in my abilities, all while having fun. Seeing someone with that spitfire, intuition, and emotional gusto reminds me of myself as a freshman! The school needs more people who can bring out the best in their peers, even if subtly.

Personal Message

Despite what she might say, she deserves to know that I’m proud of her accomplishments, and seeing her grow not only at this conference, but throughout the entirety of MUN! Getting to know Ana has been a pleasure.
