The undefeated varsity wrestling team is 14-0 and ranked in state for perhaps the first time in school history, Coach Matt Fiordirosa said.

Ranked 15th, the team faces Lake Zurich tonight.  14 wins in the first 14 meets means the Scouts are on track to demolish the previous record of 16 wins in a season,  which was last set in 2017.

The team won the Richmond Burton Tournament, as well as the Carmel Dual Team Tournament, according to Fiordirosa.

“The team is really working hard and having a lot of fun competing. We are really looking forward to winter break where our schedule begins to really ramp up to prepare us for the state series,” he said.

Be sure to keep a close eye on key members  Bennett Duggan, TJ Cottam, Truman Thuente, and Jack Owen as they continue to surpass expectations.
