LAKE FOREST, Ill.– The female high school student-athlete is alive and well at Lake Forest High School. On Wednesday, November 8, ten female student-athletes signed on with their college of choice for the next four years of their athletic career. Accompanied by LFHS Athletic Director Tim Burkhalter, and a crowd of classmates, parents, and friends, the ten seniors beamed with pride as they saw their childhood dreams of competing at the next level solidified.
Among the girls honored on Wednesday were Catherine Nicholson (Field Hockey- University of Iowa), Kara Antonucci (Lacrosse- Arizona State University), Grace Gerraghty (Lacrosse- Wofford College), Delaney Weiss (Hockey- RPI), Emma Milburn (Cross Coutnry/Track and Field- University of Illinois) and Tori Landis (Rowing- Lehigh), all of whom signed National Letters of Intent for Division 1 institutions.
At the Divison III level, Audrey Kaus (Lacrosse- University of Chicago), Sophie Metzger (Field Hockey- DePauw), Maeve Summerville (Basketball- DePauw), and Emily Vodovoz (Swimming- Carroll University) have also agreed to compete as student-athletes at the great institutions they have chosen.
