This week’s Eye for the Arts spotlight is on sophomore Lindley Wiesner, who recently was named a finalist for the Illinois Tollway Map Cover contest. Wiesner, one of three triplet Wiesner sisters in the sophomore class, is currently enrolled in Graphic Design 2 with Ms. Carolyn Bielski.
Last year, Wiesner took Graphic Design 1 and Art 1 to further develop her interest in creating art. According to her teacher, Ms. Carolyn Bielski, Wiesner “is one of the hardest workers I know. She is [in the art studio] early every morning doing everything from class projects to making buttons for the volleyball team moms. Everything she creates is beautiful.”
Clearly, Wiesner enjoys expressing herself through her artwork. Check out some of the photographs below to get a quick sample of the portfolio that Wiesner is developing–both in idea and practice–each day at LFHS. As featured below, Lindley delves in to all forms of art and medium. Showcased here are prints, patterns, and concert posters.
