Jazz Band auditions on the horizon

The Lake Forest High School Jazz Band is holding auditions for students on Monday, October 30th and Wednesday, November 1st in the band room. Students who play wind or rhythm section instruments are welcome to audition. Plan to audition on Monday, October 30th if you are a wind player, and Wednesday, November 1st if you are a rhythm section member.

This year’s jazz advisor is Mr. Tim Janiszewski, the music department’s new instrumental assistant. Audition music can be found in the band room. Please email Mr. J if you have any questions at [email protected].

Katie Pierce, Editor in Chief

Katie Pierce is a proud senior at Lake Forest High School. Besides being Editor-in-Chief of TFS, Katie is a drum major of the LFHS band, and spends most of her summer on bike trails as a camp counselor. She also founded and manages her own jazz ensemble, The Swing Sonatas, made up of LFHS musicians. Katie strongly prefers tea instead of coffee, and jazz in place of rap.
