From balancing homework, sports, clubs, and more extracurricular activities, high school can feel overwhelming at times. Scouts Center is now here to take some of that stress away.
“Scouts Center is a website created for Lake Forest High School students that holds everything a student needs throughout their high school career,” said Student Body President Josie Irvin.
The idea of Scouts Center was inspired by Scout Hub, an accessible place for the administration at LFHS. It includes every link and resource one might need to locate information. Scouts Center came to light in August 2024 when the administration mentioned bringing a similar website to LFHS for the students.
“Scouts Center is an internal hub where you can find who and what, and what you need – everything in one place. We wanted to make it as easy and accessible for students as possible – like a one-stop shop,” said Edtech, Mr. Holmer.
Scouts Center stems from all areas, whether it’s academic resources, extracurricular and school life, student support and services, or lastly, guides and policies. Additionally, the website includes daily announcements and calendars so you can stay up to date with all the latest events at LFHS.
At the top of the Scouts Center homepage, the Student Council has included a “Student Council Feedback Form” so you can share your thoughts and ideas with them. All responses are evaluated and reviewed by Mrs. Konz, your Student Body President, Josie Irvin, and Student Body Vice President, Ethan Farrell.
“Our goal and purpose of this form is to improve the day-to-day student well-being at LFHS,” said Irvin.
The “Student Council Feedback Form” gives all students a chance for their voices to be heard. Any inquiries you may have will be recognized – whether it’s about homecoming themes, spirit week, or simply any concerns about LFHS student life – and will be taken into consideration.
Now you may be wondering how to access Scouts Center. All you need to do is simply go to the LFHS Bookmarks in the top left corner of your screen. There, you will find the Scouts Center tab.
Scouts Center continues to grow as time goes on. If you believe Scouts Center is missing something, don’t hesitate to let the Edtechs know. The sole purpose of Scouts Center is to take some weight off your shoulders with the natural stress that comes with high school. Take a quick look at Scouts Center today and see how it can make a difference to make LFHS even better.
