After a disappointing loss against Warren last Friday night, the Scouts look to make a run back into the season with a win over Zion Benton.

With the devastating loss of three starting players: junior Jack Burger, and seniors Jimmy Schielder, and Connor Hiam and to mention the uncertainty of senior captain Aeden Cassidy’s health, Lake Forest is seeking a big win over the Bees to gain some forward momentum.
After the opening kickoff the Scouts had their eyes on the prize, but the first quarter was followed with an unfortunate second drive, WR Connor Hiam tore his ACL. In addition, junior WR Jack Dacy is out due to a recent toe injury, and isn’t expected to play in Friday’s game.
Since the Scouts running game is now short, they look to their defensive and offensive players to shift around and help pick up where the WR´s left off. Some new additions to the team’s running game will be senior captains Sufyan Hussian and James Elliott.
Another addition to the Scouts running game is junior Michael Knight as he holds the new position as running back.
A highlight from the offensive side of last week’s game came from senior QB and captain Braden Hoskins. Hoskins threw an 18 yard touchdown pass to Luke Pasquesi during the fourth quarter with just over a minute left. And It is no lie that Pasquesi is a key part to the Scouts offense, as he averaged 10.3 yards during the game.

The Scouts will continue to shift around their offense. These positions will be matched by the perfect fit, due to the Scouts extensive practices in the summer.
“In the summer, everyone plays offense and defense so everyone is able to play both positions,” senior Dylan Knutson said.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Scouts held Warren to 22 points by the end of the night. Junior linebacker Geroge Holland held the most tackles with 11 assists, and two solos. Elliott came in second with leading tackles.
With the Scouts strong defensive players, the Bees will have to fight hard to stay in the game.
“This is a program game, we have to trust what the coaches are telling us, and execute it properly, like we have in the past two weeks,” Elliott said.
The Scouts will host the Bees this Friday at West Campus with the game at 7:30. Anticipation is high as the Scouts are looking to even things up.
“We haven’t played as hard the past few weeks so it’s a simple answer. Play hard and good things will come,” Elliott said.
