With homecoming spirit coming to a rise, LFHS has started a new homecoming kick-off tradition of a movie night under the lights for all grade levels!
The festivities will start at 6pm, where the West Campus gates open for car decorating. Teams and clubs will get the opportunity to decorate their cars to showcase school pride throughout spirit week.
Once car decorating comes to a close, students will be able to go to the field to play different games and get set up for the movie on the field. Food and drinks will also all be provided.
At 7pm the movie, Jumanji, will begin. Students can bring their own blankets for the best watch experience.
Student Body President Josie Irvin played a major role in the coming of the event. She can’t wait to see her plans come to life!
I’m super excited to start a new tradition of getting the entire student body together the week before homecoming to watch a movie and play some lawn games,” said Irvin.
Mrs. Konz, head of Student Council said, “This year, the Student Council Executive Board is hoping to create several new traditions, starting with our first annual school-wide movie night! We are really excited to kick off our 90th Homecoming week & celebrate being a SCOUT with this new event.”
We can’t wait to see everyone pack Varsity Field Sunday night! Show your scout pride, and have a great time!
