Breaking news for the unemployed: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are finally tying the knot.
Their engagement became public on August 26th through the couple’s conjoined Instagram post. The two are seen happily posing in front of a scenic garden, where the engagement occurred. Without surprise, with the celebration comes controversy- Will the couple last? Is the proposal a publicity stunt? Is their relationship all for show?
Students at LFHS have differing opinions, and it’s time to unmask the fate of this dynamic couple.
Upon hearing of the engagement, some LFHS students were ecstatic. Kelce and Swift are a power couple who focus on excelling in their craft, while also supporting each other through thick and thin. It’s exciting to see this couple emerge romantically as they take the next step in their relationship. Kelce himself is excited about the marriage, exclaiming to be “giddy” while preparing for the wedding. Discussion on the Kelces Brothers podcast “New Heights” has revealed anticipation for the coming event.
In opposition, senior James Elliot has no hope for the emerging couple. “The media has amped up the couple, they’re only in it for the fame,” Elliot argues.
Senior Jimmy Scheidler has a similar opinion concerning the duo.

“Its all a social media stunt, and the marriage was planned in order to get more views. I think that Kelce can do better,” Scheidler said.
Not all LFHS students have extreme opinions on the couple. Senior Vail Bayly has mixed thoughts on the breaking news.
“I think the couple might last, but the engagement has become a bigger deal than it needs to be,” Bayly explained.
Not only has the engagement resulted in celebrations and controversies, but her ring caught the eyes of every romantic.
The old mine brilliant cut ring was co-designed by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry and Kelce himself and is estimated to be worth nearly $500,000. What else would you expect? The rigid diamond is a moment. And it can’t be ignored. Especially considering it’s estimated to be between 8 and 13 karats.
“I was surprised that Taylor even announced her engagement. I think that the wedding will be more intimate and small, especially considering how much attention is on the couple,” Swiftie Evelyn Marshall said.
We’re excited to see the evolution of this couple, and considering that the duo’s Instagram post has over 30 million likes, we are sure others feel the same. From Swifties to Chiefs Nation, this couple exemplifies pure domination.
