Every spring, LFHS’ Theater Program puts on a show to remember— and this year was no different. Following last year’s show Mean Girls: The Musical, this year’s cast and crew set out to create another unforgettable production. With glass slippers, fairy godmothers, and a little bit of magic, the LFHS Theater Department proudly presented Cinderella on April 24th through the 26th, charming their audiences and filling the theatre with a sense of wonder.
In the weeks leading up to opening night, the hard work and passion of the cast and crew were evident. From the detailed set building, the musicians in the pit, and the breathtaking performances from the grand staircase, every corner of the production sparkled with heart and dedication.

“Cinderella, which was my final show at LFHS, was an absolutely wonderful experience to end on. I played the part of Prince Topher, who fought a constant battle over his feelings for Cinderella, his place in the kingdom, and keeping the peace between the rich and the poor. The show was filled with musical numbers that really pushed me, especially because the notes went way higher than I’m used to. The most amazing thing about doing theater at LFHS is that it allows and forces) you to be open to talk to new people and build friendships. There isn’t a show out there that I would’ve rather finished my time at LFHS with than Cinderella,” senior Declan Boyle said.
The show’s visual magic stunned the audience: a grand staircase, a shimmering ballroom, and even a pumpkin carriage brought Cinderella’s world to life. Each costume had so much detail, and if you blinked, you might have missed the magic of the Fairy Godmother. The cast’s energy and
chemistry made every scene unforgettable, from the comic timing of the stepsisters to the heartwarming romance between Cinderella and the Prince. The production wasn’t just a show— it was an experience.
“Cinderella was a very different character than I usually play, which added to the excitement of the rehearsal process. I loved being able to go through the arc of finding my voice and confidence each night as Cinderella does with the plot of the show. I think it was a really important story to share and I loved all the little princesses in the audience each night— it was absolutely adorable,” senior Nora Sharmam, who played Cinderella, said.

A very special highlight of the weekend for many was the “Meet and Greet” event after Saturday’s matinee performance. Little princes and princesses, dressed in crowns and gowns, lined up eagerly to meet the characters they had just watched bring a classic fairy tale to life. Seeing the smiles on the young fans’ faces truly captured the spirit and magic of the show.
“My favorite memory of the show has to be getting to meet all the little kids in my costume. They were all super excited to meet me and I loved getting to talk to them. It was so sweet. It made the show feel so magical,” said senior Sarah Noble, who played the Fairy Godmother.
As the curtain closed and the final bows were taken, one thing was clear: Cinderella wasn’t just a performance— it was a memory that will stay with the cast, crew, and audience for years to come. Congratulations to everyone involved in making a little magic this spring!
