Class of 2025, the time has come for you to apply to become part of one of LFHS’s most iconic traditions: the Wall of Excellence.
Each year, the Boosters Club recognizes a select number of senior athletes to be featured on the wall and become a permanent part of LFHS history. All senior athletes are encouraged to apply for the Outstanding Senior Athlete Award (OSAA).
Last year’s OSAA winners included Tommie Aberle, Lissy Blume, Graham Garrigan, and Ava Bleck.
Blume, now a freshman at Miami University, said winning her award was a dream come true.
“It’s hard to put into words what winning the OSAA and being on the wall meant to me. I have been dreaming about it since I was a freshman, and after all of my hard work, I was really proud to have won it,” Blume said
The OSAA is an award granted to four senior athletes, two male and two female, who represent what it means to be a Scout by excelling in athletic performance and demonstrating leadership, spirit, and sportsmanship.
Each awarded athlete will receive a scholarship of $1,000, as well as their photo being displayed on the Wall of Excellence. The OSAA application is now live on the Boosters’ website and will be accepting applications until April 7 at 11:59 p.m.
The 2024-25 Wall of Excellence will not only showcase the four OSAA recipients but also a number of OSAA finalists, student body leaders, and other individual award winners.
Winners of the award will be announced before the end of the school year, and the unveiling of the wall will be in the Fall of 2025.
