Who is your style inspiration?
“I’m definitely most inspired by Korean fashion! As someone who grew up around the culture, it has certainly influenced the way I dress. I’d say the style mainly focuses on incorporating a mix of casual and statement pieces, along with a baggier silhouette. I often find myself shopping for clothes on Korean sites like Musinsa.”
What is an item in your closet that you get a lot of use from?
“My black Converse high-tops! They’re definitely my most worn shoes and work on almost every occasion. I’ve had my pair since freshman year and they’ve held up well!”
What are your go-to brands?
“I rarely diverge from a select few brands, as I’ve learned which ones typically make pieces that fit my body type and style best. I like getting basics from Uniqlo, since they boast a wide range of colors and high quality, despite their mid-range price tag. My favorite place to shop for hoodies is a Korean brand called thisisneverthat. They have a lot of cool designs and their sweatshirts are super high quality!”
What item have you gotten recently that you are excited to wear?
“I recently thrifted this long sleeve polo from Connecticut Originals! I’ve already worn it to dinner with my friends, but I’m excited to dress it up or down in the future!”
What is an item on your wishlist?
“Onitsuka Tiger shoes! As of late, these have become super trendy. My friend Gonzalo has a pair and has inspired me to put them on my wishlist! I’d go for a neutral color so I can wear them with as many outfits as possible.”
What is your go to look?
“My go-to outfit for school or going out is baggy jeans and a sweatshirt or hoodie. I rotate between a couple of different shoes, with my recent favorite being the New Balance 530s. I have a lot of jeans, but my favorite brands are Abercrombie and BDG.”
What is your favorite trend at the moment?
“Adidas sneakers! There is such a wide variety to choose from in terms of color, material, and shape. I personally love seeing people style unique colors! My favorites are my white & black Sambas and navy Spezials.”
