Kayla Lim
Sophomore Kayla Lim is the definition of positivity. She radiates it everywhere she goes, whether that be in the halls or on the volleyball court.

Kayla was one of six new underclassmen on the Varsity Volleyball Team this past season. She made an outstanding impact right away.
Not only is it impressive to be an underclassman on a varsity team, but it is even more impressive to have a starting spot on one.
Varsity Girls’ Volleyball head coach Mrs. Everrett recognizes Kayla as an integral part of the team.
“As a setter, you have to be able to connect your team on the court and have the confidence to own and run your offense. Even as a sophomore, Kayla fit into her role as a setter perfectly. The team looked to her to make them successful, and she took ownership of everything she did. We were incredibly lucky to have her.”
Junior Kaia Pienkosz recognizes Kayla’s kind character as a teammate.
“Kayla is a teammate who is always so encouraging and prioritizes teamwork. She’s someone who’s so fun to be around and cares for everyone.”
Kayla is someone you can count on as a teammate and as a friend. Sophomore Abby Uhart speaks on the type of friend Kayla is.
“Kayla is such an amazing friend who brightens my day in the most special ways. Every time I see her, she always gives me a big hug. She is such a hardworking, funny, and thoughtful person. Although I’ve only known her for a short time, she has become one of my best friends. That just goes to show how special she is.”
It is clear to all the joy Kayla brings into the lives of those around her.
Sienna Walsh
Sienna Walsh may be a freshman here at LFHS, but she carries the charisma and confidence of an upperclassman. She’s unapologetically herself, inspiring those around her to express themselves freely. Her warm and friendly disposition sets her apart from others.

Sienna truly embodies a glass-half-full attitude. Her enthusiasm for even the smallest things can easily get others excited too. Her older sister, senior Lilly Walsh, emphasizes Sienna’s optimistic spirit as she describes their special sisterly bond.
“Sienna is not just my little sister; she’s my best friend. She’s always there with jokes, pranks, kindness, and support. Her excitement for life is contagious, she makes sure everyone around her has fun in any situation,” Walsh said.
At LFHS, Sienna extends her welcoming demeanor to others through the Student-to-Student Club. As a student ambassador for new students, she takes time out of her day to tour students around the campus and walk them to their classes. Sienna is also an active member of the Student Council. She attends nearly every meeting and contributes her efforts in any way she can to make a positive impact on the entire student body.
Josie Irvin, Junior Class President, has grown up alongside Sienna in Lake Bluff. She highlights Sienna’s individuality: “Sienna will have her own talk show one day; she has a knack for making people laugh no matter the situation! Her leadership skills shine through in everything she does, and I think she will be a valuable member of the Student Council in the future.”
Sienna has danced for the majority of her life, and she is now a part of the Varsity Gold Dance Team. She is consistently encouraging and celebrating the achievements of her teammates. Sienna’s teammate and best friend, Savannah Manning, considers herself extremely lucky to be able to spend so much time with her.
“Sienna is always someone I can talk to no matter what. She is the sweetest and most bubbly person I know, and I’m always laughing when I’m with her — which is like every day. Whether we’re at dance practice or just hanging out, Sienna always knows how to put a smile on my face,” Manning said.
Sienna’s high school experience is only just beginning, and she has already strengthened the Lake Forest community.
Callum Morrison
Junior Callum Morrison is one of the most down-to-earth students here at LFHS. While most people recognize Callum for his large contributions to the baseball team, Callum’s authentic personality and loyalty is what make him a great teammate and friend.

Morrison acquired his athletic reputation during his freshman year as a dominant pitcher for the Varsity Baseball Team. Previously known as the freshman in the baggy jersey, Callum has played a key role in the Scouts’ rotation the past two seasons, evolving into the ace he is today. Morrison will soon be entering his third season on varsity and will continue to be the backbone on the mound.
Due to his success in his time on varsity, Callum has earned the respect of all his teammates and coaches. But his success doesn’t just stem from out of the blue. Callum always pushes himself to be the best, and this is attributed to the exceptional standard he holds himself to. What separates Callum from other high schoolers is his work ethic. Whether it’s in the classroom or on the field, Callum doesn’t settle for mediocrity; he is continuously improving to better himself.
“The minute I know Callum is pitching, I already know he’s going to give it his all because that’s who is. He gives 110% on everything he does,” said teammate Jack Lamberti. “He’s one of those players that’s a luxury to play with because his talents make the game easier. When Callum is pitching, we know we have a great chance of winning.”
Morrison’s abilities and success were recognized this past summer as he earned the opportunity to play for one of the best travel baseball teams in the country, Team Elite. Callum spent numerous weeks traveling back and forth from Georgia where he teamed up with and pitched against the best players in the 2026 class. As Callum enters his junior season, he will continue to turn heads and show his dominance as a pitcher.
While Callum is an outstanding athlete, his best quality is his genuineness. Callum loves to show his humorous side, but there is never a time you feel like he isn’t supporting and understanding you. Many people aren’t as trustworthy and sincere as Callum, which is the reason he is such a reliable friend and teammate. Callum is one of those people who will consistently be there for you despite the circumstances. It’s always in his best interest to ensure everyone around him is taken care of.
“Callum is one of my closest friends on and off the field. He is one of those guys you can always count on. A key part of being a catcher is having faith that your pitcher will do his job, and Callum fits that description perfectly. Off the field, Callum is an extremely reliable friend, and is there for anyone at any time,” said Dylan Cran.
Callum’s athlete, student, and friend qualities make him an amazing part of LFHS.
Leila Ayyad
Senior Leila Ayyad is a hard-working student when it comes to school. She was able to get all her credits before the second semester, so she could sit back and relax for the rest of her senior year. She is very determined and focused on her school work but can also let loose and have fun. Her bright and energetic personality can make anyone feel at home when talking to her.
“She is a very nice and caring person who works very hard,” said senior Brooke Burton.
During her freshman year at LFHS, she was involved in field hockey and lacrosse. Unfortunately, while in her summer going into sophomore year, she fractured her tailbone. This caused her to not be able to play for a couple of months because of the recovery process.
In this time she filled her time with things like going to the gym and focusing on herself and her mental health. This has had a very positive effect on her getting ready for college life.
She is very passionate about marketing or psychology and plans on studying this in college. She has made it into Ole Miss, Kansas, Rollins, and SMU, but is really set on going to Ole Miss. This has been her top college since entering high school.
“The opportunities they have are endless. The campus is beautiful as well as the town,” said Leila.
In her free time, she loves to hang out with friends and babysit. She is currently working at The Winter Club which helps her fill the time that she would usually be in school while making extra money for her college expenses.
Mr. Alex Mann
After officially beginning his teaching career last year, Mr. Mann has already made a positive impact on all of his students. He brings energy and enthusiasm to his law classes, using humor and jokes to create an engaging learning environment.
“Getting to go to law class was a nice break in stressful days because Mr. Mann was able to make learning enjoyable,” said senior Mona Ferraioli. “I always looked forward to class because I knew I would have fun but also learn interesting material.”
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Mann also serves as the tight ends coach for the Scouts football team. Many players admire his leadership and appreciate his ability to keep things lighthearted during tough practices.
“Whether it was all the time he spent at the whiteboard drawing up plays, his humor during practice, or his leadership on the field during games, Mr. Mann has proven to be a keystone coach of our team, and I am grateful for having the opportunity to be coached by him,” said senior Matthew Chabraja.
With his passion for teaching and coaching, Mr. Mann continues to leave a lasting impression on both his students and athletes. Whether in the classroom or on the field, he fosters an environment of learning, teamwork, and positivity—qualities that make him a valued mentor and role model in the school community.
