I have always been a fan of theme songs for TV shows. There are so many great ones that it is hard to narrow down to only 5 but I have to. Here are my picks for the top 5 tv show theme songs of all time of all time (Zero Bias, Obviously):
1. Game Of Thrones:
The Game Of Thrones theme song is by far the best introduction song of any television show of all time. It gives you a feeling that you are in that time period with the different strings and the variety of instruments. No introduction song will ever compare to THE Game Of Thrones song, and it will stay that way for a very long time. Even if I may have a bias from watching the whole show, there should not be any doubt that this is the greatest theme song on this list.
2. Succession
This is right up there with Game Of Thrones, but it just does not hit quite the same, but it is still a very good theme song. This song is so good just because of the vibe it gives off. It starts every episode with a sort of eerie piano to give tension in every single episode. I just love how it can be super simple yet so good.
3. Daredevil
The Daredevil theme is a lot like the Succession theme, with a piano, but it also adds strings which gives it a tense vibe. It is also a very simple song, but it gives you all you need to know that every episode will be tense and full of action. The way Marvel uses strings shows that there is always going to be something going on which makes this song stand out to me.
4. Peaky Blinders
I love this theme song because it gives you the exact feeling that you are part of a mafia or gang from the 1900s. It is slower than the other songs on this list but that does not matter because simplicity is what makes this theme song so good. This song does not need extra moving parts because the basic beat alone is enough to create an eerie feeling about each episode.
5. Vikings
I love this theme song because it has a very Nordic feeling to it and that is exactly what it is supposed to do. There is not a very happy vibe to it, but that is because the viking era was full of battles so it is good to have a more serious and more mysterious song to fit the show. I love how no matter what is currently happening in the show, the theme song always reminds the viewer that something bad can happen at any given moment and you have to be ready for that.
