Chicago is known for having a wide variety of cultures, people, places, etcetera. The most important one being food, obviously. Having abundant amounts of choices of restaurants, it can be difficult to find a perfect match for your liking. I’m here to help! Here are five of my favorite restaurants to try during your night or weekend away in the city.
The first one up is Sushi San! If you love a good sushi roll, this is the place for you! Inside you’ll find a very lively restaurant accompanied by sushi chefs making all your food fresh. Located on Grand avenue, it is always packed.
Sushi San specializes in Japanese food, making it a very light but delicious quinsine, not leaving you too full.
On top of amazing food, Sushi San has a very small entrance that then opens up to a large and dark atmosphere making your time there even more enjoyable.
Interested in French or European food? Pierrot Gourmet is a cute little cafe nestled on the corner of Superior Street. This cozy spot is perfect for a unique breakfast or lunch experience. Whether that is one of their many layered sandwiches or a piping hot french onion, they have it all.
The true magic of Pierrot Gourmet lies in their pastries. The fresh macaroons alone make everyone want to stop in and try one.
Lastly, their setting is as charming as their food. The intimate and colorful environment enhances everyone’s meal, making every visit an escape from the everyday life.
Looking for something Italian? Eataly is a restaurant full of culture and flavor. If you prefer a busy and energetic atmosphere, this is a must-visit. The only must have when going here is your appetite!
Eataly has two levels with each and every corner filled with authentic Italian cuisine. There is cheese, pasta, fish, pizza, anything you can think of. With so many options, deciding what to try first can be challenging.
One major perk of this restaurant is its appeal to all ages. Whether you’re bringing grandparents, parents, or younger siblings, it’s a guaranteed great time for everyone.
Hungry for more? Lux Bar is located right in the heart of the action, as it is a very popular spot.
If you want to dress up or keep it casual, Lux Bar offers both with their upstairs and downstairs
settings.
Serving everything from breakfast to dinner, this restaurant has gourmet quality food while still having that bar-food feel.
Lastly, there’s Maple & Ash, a top favorite of mine and many others. When you walk in, the candlelit lighting is an immediate eye catcher. The menu is very diverse, varying from seafood to pasta.
Maple & Ash is located very snug right near Lux Bar on Maple street.
This place is a great spot for a romantic dinner, a friends night out, or even a private party. Not to mention, the service is always top
tier. My personal favorite part of dining here is the complementary bread that comes with the meal!
