LFHS to host North Suburban Conference Art Festival
April 22, 2022
LFHS is hosting the North Suburban Conference Art Festival today from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the field house.
The Art Fair will consist of all artwork, including photography, ceramics, paintings, and graphic design. Students from a variety of art classes will have their work on display for others to see.
“It is super special because Lake Forest High School is hosting this year. I am proud of the art department for putting on this amazing fair,” junior Mary Plotner said.
This festival consists of seven other schools that come together to celebrate the student’s work; Mundelein, Stevenson, Warren, Libertyville, Waukegan, Lake Zurich, and Zion Benton.
“I’m really excited about my piece being chosen for the fair,” sophomore Taylor Ross said. “I think it’s a great way to show off the work from the art classes that people have been doing for the last year.”
At the event there will be four different sticker stations. In addition to that, other activities consist of a DJ, and Instagram photo booth.
“I’m super excited to be a part of the art fair because it is the first time I have been able to come together with other amazing artists and instructors, to share and learn what our community has created,” Plotner said.
