Name: Lauren Milanak

College: Wake Forest University 

Major: Business 

Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina

Mascot: Demon Deacons 

Why Wake Forest?

“Ever since the moment I first stepped foot on the campus, I fell in love with the school. It’s both rigorous and fun which is what I love about it. There’s great school spirit and I hope to continue to support the school by becoming a member of the Deacon Dance Team. Sometimes they call the university ‘Work Forest’ because of the intensity of the academics but I’m excited for the challenge.” 

What are you most excited about? 

“I’m most excited to open a new chapter in my life at my dream school! I’m really looking forward to meeting a bunch of new people and finding a good group of friends. I’ve lived in Lake Forest my whole life, so it’ll be nice to experience a new city.”

Name: Jackson Cote

College: Louisiana State University

Major: Architecture

Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Mascot: Tigers

Why LSU?

“I chose LSU because they have a great architecture program, a great football team, and of course the warm weather. It has always been one of the top places I’ve wanted to go to college and I’m very excited to be going there in the fall.”

What are you most excited about? 

“I am most excited about the sports games- specifically the football games. Overall, It’s going to be a great time.”

Name: Ellie Ford

College: Texas Christian University 

Major:  Elementary Education 

Location: Fort Worth, Texas 

Mascot: Horned Frog 

Why TCU?

“As soon as I stepped on campus, I felt so at home. All of the students are so friendly and I just felt welcome right away. It also had everything I was looking for in a school!”

What are you most excited about? 

“I am most excited about meeting new people, learning about what I love, getting to know Fort Worth, and I’m excited to rush.”

Name: Quinn Mulligan

College: University of Colorado Boulder 

Major: Business Undecided 

Location: Boulder, Colorado

Mascot: Buffalo 

Why Boulder? 

“There are tons of reasons I chose Boulder. Boulder is a place where I can have fun socially and physically. Whether it is hanging out with friends or snowboarding down a mountain, Boulder is a fun place. Not only is Boulder a place for enjoyment, it is also a great academic choice. The Leeds School of Business is ranked very well and will help me progress throughout my career.”

What are you most excited about?

“I would say I’m most excited to meet a whole new group of people. I can’t wait to branch out and see what else the world has to offer. I’m also very excited about the sun being out all day. The weather in Boulder is amazing so I can’t wait for that.”

Name: Isabella Fisher

College: University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 

Major:  Sustainable Design

Location: Champaign, Illinois

Mascot: Fighting Illini

Why Illinois? 

“I chose Illinois for a few reasons including their in-state tuition, and this major that I will be studying is a newer major that I am really excited to dive into to hopefully create some change in the world! But I guess I could have done this major other places, but I chose UIUC because I felt like I could see myself there most when I was visiting in person! And I have family who have gone there so they gave me a lot of advice too.”

What are you most excited about? 

“I would say I am most excited about sort of getting out into the real world and becoming more independent. I feel that Lake Forest sort of created this bubble for me, so I am excited to experience new places and meet new people!”
