What are you speaking about and why did you choose this subject?

“I am speaking about the butterfly effect and how it helped me overthink less and live more fearlessly. I chose this because it had a profound impact on my life and I wanted to share it with others, and possibly help others too!”

When did you first realize this was the subject that interested you?

“To be honest, I have always been interested in the ripple effect but recently the butterfly effect became a trend which led me to do more research on it! When researching, the details and the science behind it gave me the motivation to speak out about it!”

What motivated you to do a TED Talk?

“I really like public speaking, especially since I am on the speech team, and I have always wanted to do one. When I found this topic, I knew that it would make something that I would be super interested in!”

What do you want people to learn or appreciate about your TED Talk?

“I hope people are able to appreciate how life being unpredictable doesn’t have to be scary and that they are able to make their own decisions based on how they feel rather than what is going on in their head.”

How did you prepare for the TED Talk?

“I read a lot of articles online to make sure the information I was sharing was accurate. I also took time to revise my talk and practiced it to make it sound natural rather than from a script.”

How nervous are you to speak in front of so many people?

“I have been acting for a while and have been on the speech team for the past three years in high school. I have never given any type of speech that is personal to me. I’m not worried about talking in front of a lot of people, I’m just worried about talking about something so personal.”
