Ms. Dawn Neal

Ms. Dawn Neal never fails to make you smile. From her therapeutic conversations to her incredible loads of kindness, everyone needs to stop by to chat. As you walk into the upper library you can’t help but put your homework aside to sit down in one of Ms. Neal’s comfy chairs.

Ms. Neal will listen to both the good and bad things in your life.

“She always lets me sit down to vent about what’s bothering me. She’s someone I can clear my mind to, which is helpful considering I’m an over-stressed high school student,” said junior Grace Flusser.

Ms. Neal will tackle any one of your problems like they’re her own, and she’s loved and appreciated for it.

“Ms. Neal is one of the brightest, well spoken teachers, let alone people, I’ve ever met. We don’t deserve her,” said Flusser.

Despite her time spent in Lake Forest High School, her dedication to her students and contagious energy has never faded.

“Ms. Neal is someone who is always there for you, and she is one of the most supportive people I know. She is always there to listen and talk to you about anything. She is such a kind and lovable person. I think that’s what makes her so special,” said junior Sophia Maggos.

Ms. Neal tends to bring a sense of comfort, it feels like you can express just about anything with the lack of her judgement. “She’s got such a big heart that doesn’t shy around helping me along with others,” said junior Jake Clements.

She holds this feeling of home that many teachers don’t have. Going to visit Neal at her desk is something you can’t say you don’t look forward to after class.

If you are lucky enough to know Ms. Neal, make sure to appreciate every little thing about her because she truly deserves the world.

“There’s never been a dull moment on the second floor of the library,” said Flusser.
